Synopsis & Storyline

The self-proclaimed mad scientist Rintarou Okabe rents out a room in a rickety old building in Akihabara, where he indulges himself in his hobby of inventing prospective 'future gadgets' with fellow lab members. When Okabe attends a conference on time travel, he experiences a series of surreal events that lead him to believe that his 'Phone Microwave' can send text messages back through time.
